Friday Musings

It’s been a wild week in terms of career stuff. But I don’t feel like writing about that today. Currently, I’m drinking an oversized cup of drip coffee and editing photos. I’ve come to terms with the fact that my Iphone camera is booboo so I’ve started bringing my big-girl camera out with me to events and daily excursions out of the house.

This photo taken at the Women In Green fall event is one of my favorites that came out of this recent change.

So in my previous post I touched a bit on ritual and how I carve out time at least for a solid morning ritual to get all family members started on the right foot. But days when the ritual gets totally f’d-up also exist. Rather than get upset about it and try to force my ritual to happen, I just honor the way the energy shifts and go with it. So yes, ritual is important, but being flexible is often more important.

On another note, I am quickly approaching the time to head back to Spain for a month. Excited doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about this. I aim to speak more Catalan, that is really my only “goal” for the month so let’s see how that goes. Otherwise I will be working, checking in on our house since it’s been on Airbnb since we moved back to San Diego, and then spend lots of time with family and friends.

More to come!
